Jim took these pictures when the kitties were just sitting, occasionally looking around the corner at one another, but not really moving otherwise. He called it a Mexican standoff, and I had heard the term, but didn't know the proper definition. Here it is: stalemate or impasse; a confrontation that neither side can foreseeably win.
As you can see, we have our own version of the Mexican Standoff!
